Professional Services Conference

The next Professional Services Conference will take place from 12-5pm on Tuesday 20 March 2018 at the Mathematical Institute, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter.

Attendance to the Professional Services Conference is free and open to all members of University and college staff. The event provides a unique opportunity for colleagues working in professional and administrative roles to understand and engage more broadly in issues impacting the University, to consider their career development and to meet others in similar roles.

The event’s change in name reflects a desire to provide an opportunity for all staff in professional and administrative roles from across the collegiate University to get together, network and collaborate. This conference celebrates the contribution you make to the organisation; providing you with an opportunity to learn about key issues, step back and see the bigger picture, and to think about your career in the long term.

A series of specially-curated talks, seminars and workshops will be held across three streams:

  1. Tackling Major Challenges: key challenges facing the University in the year ahead, and the initiatives designed to address them
  2. Making a Difference: Ways in which different  parts of the University are working together to  have a positive impact on the communities they serve
  3. Thinking Creatively About your Development How colleagues can take charge of their career development, and encourage others to do the same

There will also be a chance to visit information stands hosted by colleagues from UAS sections and other parts of University – as well as networking opportunities over tea and coffee.
